Marshall Centre proudly welcomed their 100th cohort of apprentices through a 90% virtual induction last week. Although the pandemic has caused disruption to many apprenticeship providers, Marshall Centre were agile and quick to adapt, ensuring that they could continue delivering their world-class training safely and effectively.
Unable to capture a group photograph to commemorate their first week, they adapted taking individual headshots of the apprentices interacting with a custom augmented reality filter. The image encapsulates the way people have become accustomed to working virtually in 2020 and is a timely reminder of how Marshall Centre, and businesses overall have had to adapt and innovate throughout the year.
Recently obtaining Main Provider status, Marshall Centre are now offering their world leading apprenticeships and training to external customers, utilising their experience developed over the last 100 years to future proof businesses and help them stay ahead of the curve.
To celebrate 100 years of continued apprenticeships, Marshall of Cambridge will be sharing stories throughout the year from past and present apprentices, leading up to a celebration event (COVID permitting) towards the end of 2021.
The 100th cohort of apprentices were asked to discuss why they chose an apprenticeship with Marshall Centre and here are some of their responses:
“I joined Marshall as an apprentice because I always had an interest in aircraft engineering and Marshall provides one of the best apprenticeship programmes in the country. I hope to develop my skills and have a long and rewarding career with the company”
“I wanted to work with Marshall as they have an excellent reputation and everyone I have spoken to, who works at the Centre, has had nothing but good things to say about the company. At the end of my apprenticeship I hope to continue my career with Marshall so I can gain more knowledge and experience to work my way up into a higher position”
“I chose Marshall because of their commitment to innovation, their values and commitment to support their local community. I chose this apprenticeship because I’ve always been interested in aerospace, how aeronautical systems work and wanted to gain practical experience instead of a degree”
