Marshall, a leader in engineering excellence for the aerospace, defence and logistics industries and Cambridge property development, today announces the appointment of Roger Hardy as interim Chair of the Board effective from 18 March 2024. Roger, currently a Non-Executive Director of the Board, will take over from Jonathan Flint, who retires as Chair of the Board on 17 March 2024 as previously announced on 22 January 2024.
Roger joined the Board in August 2022, bringing extensive leadership experience in the defence industry across all three services, Air Force, Army and Navy. Most of his executive career has been spent with Babcock International, where he held a number of senior roles. He brings to the Board a focus on stakeholder engagement, programme and project delivery and international business development.
Julie Baddeley, Senior Independent Non-Executive Director, said “Since joining the Board, Roger has brought invaluable knowledge of the global aerospace and defence industries gained throughout his executive career. We welcome his appointment as Interim Chair, to provide continuity and guidance as the Group continues to implement its five-year transformation plan.”
Roger Hardy, Interim Chair Elect commented, “With my new role and broader responsibilities as Interim Chair, I look forward to providing additional support to the Executive team during this important time for the Group as it accelerates its international expansion and continues on its five-year transformation journey.”
A search for a permanent Chair has commenced and an announcement will be made in due course.
