Sustainability
We are using our unique set of skills and values to rise to the global climate change challenge.
Whether in the UK, North America, Europe or the Middle East, Marshall’s people are defined by their forward-thinking spirit, an inherent instinct to do the right thing, and the desire to successfully solve problems that others walk away from.
This drive to transform helps us deliver extraordinary futures for our customers, our communities, our people and our planet.
Whether it’s aerospace and defence, temperature-controlled distribution, skills and training or property, we apply the same exacting standards of innovation and quality to everything we do.
Building on our hard-earned reputation for excellence, we are proud to work shoulder to shoulder with an incredibly diverse range of customers including armed forces, humanitarian organisations, the world’s largest aircraft manufacturers, and the UK’s leading supermarkets chains.
From designing Concorde’s iconic nose to changing the world of chilled distribution by introducing the first ever refrigerated lorry to the UK, or containerising a CT scanner for deployment in the field, we are proud of the part we play in helping our customers succeed - often in the most challenging of circumstances.
With a growing footprint across the UK, Europe, North America and the Middle East and a team of around 2,000 people, Marshall has come a very long way since our humble beginnings in 1909.
Wherever we are in the world, we work hard to be a force for good in our local communities, from creating employment and boosting local exports to inspiring disadvantaged young people to pursue careers in STEM and aviation, helping to provide half-way housing for the homeless, and creating adult apprenticeship schemes for the unemployed.
No matter which part of our business they belong in, Marshall’s people are constantly striving to deliver outstanding results for our customers.
This shared pursuit of excellence by everyone from the newest apprentice to the CEO gives us with the momentum and courage to adapt and meet the challenges of an ever changing world.
We are enormously proud to have trained over 21,000 apprentices over the course of our history, and we are committed to creating more extraordinary opportunities for young people - building a pipeline of talent for industry, and ensuring the sustained health and prosperity of the ecosystem in which we all operate.
Through our Ambition 2030 programme we put sustainability at the heart of everything we do.
We are committed to taking ambitious climate action and building climate resilience, ensuring a healthy environment for our employees and communities, and using and developing sustainable products and services.
In the last few years alone, we have:
