AMMROC and Marshall sign strategic service agreement to advance C-130 fleet readiness at IDEX 2025
19 February 2025
Marshall’s story is one of enduring partnerships built on trust, reliability and collaboration.
We do our best work together, whether we are leading a flagship programme as prime contractor, supporting the world’s largest defence OEMs, or seeking out new growth opportunities with strategic partners.
This is a legacy we are carrying forward in the face of rapid technological change, a shifting geopolitical landscape and evolving customer requirements.
Marshall is leading and supporting multi-year flagship programmes for the UK and its allies around the world. We play a vital role in several major industry consortia working to promote global security, deliver value for governments and foster economic prosperity.
The Logistics Vehicle Modernization (LVM) programme is a major contract awarded by Canada's Department of National Defence to the Power Team, a consortium made up of General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada, Marshall Canada, Mercedes Benz, Soframe and Manac.
Together, the Power Team will provide the replacement for the Canadian Armed Forces’ existing fleet of logistics vehicles - an essential capability for transferring resources, personnel and military assets during domestic and international operations and training exercises.
By 2028, the LVM project is expected to create over 500 new direct employment opportunities in eastern Canada, while production from Marshall’s Moncton facility is expected to boost New Brunswick’s fabricated metal manufacturing sector GDP by as much as 15 per cent by 2026.
As a trusted supplier and long-standing partner to the UK Ministry of Defence, Marshall is developing, prototyping, testing and producing a fleet of 120 advanced explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) and electronic countermeasure (ECM) vehicles across eight specialised variants.
Replacing the previous Wedgewood platforms, the next-generation GASKET fleet will be based throughout the UK, Northern Ireland, Cyprus, and Gibraltar, supporting the British Army in challenging situations and extreme environments.
The GASKET vehicles were designed following extensive consultation with front-line soldiers and are tailored to perform in the most challenging and high-pressure environments, incorporating the latest technologies into new and highly reliable vehicle platforms, the Mercedes-Benz Atego and Arocs.
Team Protect is a consortium comprising PA Consulting, Leonardo, Leidos Innovations UK and Marshall that has been selected by the UK Ministry of Defence to deliver project CRENIC—a five year, £45 million contract providing life-saving electronic countermeasure systems for UK Armed Forces including soldiers, vehicles and military bases around the world.
Combining deep and extensive experience across a wide range of capabilities, the CRENIC products will detect and disrupt remote and radio controlled improvised explosive devices (IEDs) using advanced techniques across the electromagnetic spectrum.
A key part of the consortium’s role will be to establish and sustain a wider ecosystem of UK organisations to help deliver pioneering solutions and select best-in-class technology.
Marshall has earned an international reputation as a trusted sub-contractor and partner among the world’s largest primes and OEMs, thanks to our excellence in design, manufacturing and integration, combined with our commitment to delivering for customers.
Marshall has supported the Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules tactical airlifter since 1966, when we were appointed the UK’s designated technical centre for the Royal Air Force’s fleet of 65 aircraft. Less than 10 years later we became the world’s first authorised Hercules Service Centre, opening up export work that has remained at the heart of Marshall’s MRO and engineering operations.
Over the decades, we have grown our expertise alongside our relationship with Lockheed Martin and the success of the Hercules programme, becoming the first Heavy Maintenance Centre for the C-130J Super Hercules, gaining unique authority to manufacture parts, and most recently achieving recognition as the first Centre of Excellence for centre wing box changes.
Since 2020, our composites business has manufactured and supplied cockpit trim panels that are installed as line-replaceable units on every C-130J Super Hercules delivered by Lockheed Martin.
Since the 1970s, Marshall has conducted extensive modification and servicing programmes on Boeing platforms including the 727, 747 and 777 airliners and the E-3D AWACS Sentry aircraft.
In 2009 we became Boeing’s exclusive supplier of auxiliary fuel tanks for the globally successful P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft, end customers for which include the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, India, New Zealand and Norway. The tanks significantly extend aircraft flight range, giving operators additional time to complete the mission before returning to base.
With over 1,200 tanks produced to date, we have achieved an uninterrupted 100% on-time delivery record for over a decade, earning Boeing’s coveted Blue Supplier status.
Marshall has a well-established legacy of supporting Thales on manufacturing and systems integration programmes for the UK Ministry of Defence spanning the land, air and maritime domains.
Over the last 25 years, we have successfully delivered multiple variants of submarine optronic mast fairings as a Thales supplier, and we are on contract to continue this work for the next-generation Dreadnought-class submarine programme expected to enter service in the early 2030s.
On land, we are working together to deliver a full range of static and full-motion turret simulators that will help train drivers of the British Army’s AJAX armoured fighting vehicle (AFV). Our systems are reducing training times while allowing for quantitative evaluation of driver aptitude prior to live training on an actual vehicle.
We understand the value of joining forces with partners who share our long-term strategic outlook and our sense of service, and who possess strengths and market knowledge that complement our decades of expertise and unique capabilities.
Marshall has entered a strategic partnership with AMMROC, the Middle East’s leading provider of military maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) solutions.
This exciting partnership will harness each organisation’s respective strengths, enabling us to jointly identify, explore and pursue new opportunities and markets that align to shared strategic goals.
In February 2025 we announced an initial 18 month joint project under which Marshall will deploy engineering expertise to support AMMROC in attaining UAE Military Design Organisation Approval (MDOA), dispatching a cadre of engineers to AMMROC’s state-of-the-art MRO facilities in Al Ain city.
We are delighted to have partnered with Tech Mahindra, a leading global provider of technology consulting and digital solutions to enterprises across industries, to jointly identify and develop opportunities to work together across the aerospace and defence domains.
The combination of Tech Mahindra’s global engineering and technology capabilities and Marshall’s rich heritage and specialised knowledge will support a full range of engineering programmes, driving innovation and delivering exceptional value to our customers.
The partnership’s initial scope includes aircraft design and manufacture, special mission platforms, and the development of digital MRO technologies. Marshall is also leveraging Tech Mahindra's expertise in data analytics and Intelligent Field Support technologies to deliver actionable insights into the health and usage of its connected infrastructure solutions.
Our expertise in design, manufacturing and integration has made us the go-to choice for industry pioneers seeking to bridge the gap between their innovative technologies and products and the challenges that accompany real-world application, including demanding mission and environmental requirements.
Together with some of the world’s leading businesses, we have co-developed state-of-the-art products that meet the most demanding of customer needs.
A few examples of Marshall's successful co-development partnership include:
Selected to provide container systems to house the Fire Distribution Centre (FDC) for its National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS).
Integrated Leonardo’s Osprey 30 surveillance radar into Marshall ARC Radar, our platform-agnostic modular airborne ISR suite.
Worked together to integrate the latest and most advanced Philips Incisive CT scanner technology into Marshall’s award winning 20 foot ISO expanding container.
