What we offer

Your development

We don’t believe that one size fits all. Our colleagues have access to development that is tailored to them Whether it’s a professional qualification, time to attend networking events, apprenticeships, or anything in-between, you have our support.

Whatever your personal version of “extraordinary” is, we do everything we can to create an environment that helps you flourish.

We are passionate about internal mobility and offer relocation opportunities so our employees can gain experience working internationally across our diverse portfolio of businesses.

From our frontline engineering talent through to our senior leadership teams, there are countless examples of people who have been able to build their own extraordinary futures here at Marshall.

Benefits built around you

Every person who joins the Marshall family is different, and we work hard to reflect this in the range of benefits we offer.

However, there are some things are especially important to us as we help our people build their own extraordinary futures.

For our UK team, we offer:

  • A generous pension plan with enhanced employer contributions up to 9%, depending on business
  • Life assurance at 2-4x basic salary
  • Sick pay entitlement
  • A medical cash plan for colleagues and their children, depending on business
  • Wellbeing support
  • 25 to 27 days leave each year (plus a public holiday allowance), increasing over time to 30 days
  • Paid time off to volunteer for causes important to you
  • Maternity, paternity, adoption and surrogacy leave and pay

While we don’t advertise salaries, we do benchmark against market rates to ensure we remain competitive and equitable. We regularly review salaries to reflect changing or growing responsibilities and market conditions.

All colleagues are invited to join our annual bonus scheme after a qualifying period.

Additionally, overtime payment is available for colleagues in some operational roles.

We can also support employees with relocation, living allowances and travel expenses where applicable.

Flexible working

The nature of our work means that many colleagues need to be on site to do their job.

For roles with less of a hands-on nature, we offer dynamic working and encourage colleagues and their managers to find a balance that works for the individual and their team, typically three days a week in the office.

We understand that life happens and we trust our colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for their customers; flexibility will be offered wherever possible to give you balance.

Our commitments

Equity, diversity & inclusion

Times are changing in the traditionally male-dominated fields of aerospace, defence, and logistics, and so are we.

We are focussed on creating an inclusive and equitable environment for all - and, as an independent business, we value openness and honesty so we welcome new ideas and challenges about how we can improve.

As a global business, we also provide opportunities for our employees to develop, collaborate across cultures and learn from one another.

Giving back

Wherever where we are in the world, we work hard to be a force for good in our local communities, from creating employment and boosting local exports to inspiring disadvantaged young people to pursue careers in STEM and aviation, helping to provide half-way housing for the homeless, and creating adult apprenticeship schemes for the unemployed.

To help our people support and fundraise for the causes they care about, we provide a formal employee volunteering scheme, flexible working patterns, and even grants through our employee-led, company-funded Marshall Community Fund.

Ambition 2030

At Marshall we put sustainability at the heart of everything we do, using our unique set of skills and values to rise to the global climate change challenge.

Driven by an overarching target of achieving net zero carbon emissions from our operations by the end of the decade, our Ambition 2030 framework aims to ensure that Marshall remains resilient, healthy and sustainable far into the future.
