At Marshall, we are proud to deliver applied engineering services and technology solutions for a range of governments, aircraft OEMs and aerospace prime contractors.
From designing and integrating power and cooling solutions to delivering end-to-end special mission conversions, our customers know us for our ability to tackle the most complex engineering challenges - many of which have never been attempted before.
We are able to independently design, implement, test and certify complex modifications and conversions on aircraft without OEM consultation. We are even authorised to provide comprehensive platform training for fleet operator ground crew, flight engineers and flight crew.
Likewise, if a project is part of a bigger effort or needs other partners, we get involved and play our part - driving to make it happen.
Whether designing bespoke modifications to one or more aircraft or developing our own portfolio of platform-agnostic role-fit products, our applied engineering teams excel at building solutions that maximise capability and operational advantage for our customers.
Our process starts at the new mission specification stage, during which our engineering experts consult with customers to articulate and define their needs.
On this basis, we will draw up a new mission specification and determine whether a temporary adaptation (including Marshall role-fit products) or a permanent adaptation (such as a mission-fit modification) would be most appropriate.
Having jointly established the nature of the required engineering solution - and having discussed any potential trade-offs - we progress through an iterative design process with our customers. This is followed by installation and integration, test and evaluation, and finally re-certification of the aircraft for its new role.
This entire process can be handled by Marshall from start to finish, thanks to our engineering teams’ wide-ranging areas of expertise and our extensive accreditations and approvals.

We are proud to be the world’s first Lockheed Martin Hercules Service Centre for legacy C-130B-H aircraft (a status we have held since 1975), as well as the world’s first Heavy Maintenance Centre for the C-130J Super Hercules. These accreditations have enabled us to provide a full range of engineering support for any Hercules operator, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of C-130 and L-100 aircraft.
Additionally, we are the world’s only MRO to have gained OEM approval from Lockheed Martin for in-house manufacture of C-130J parts, enabling us to support customers by manufacturing parts quickly, easily and independently.
Marshall is also an approved supplier to Boeing, having developed and delivered auxiliary fuel tanks since 1997 - initially for commercial airliner variants such as the 747-400ER and 777-220LR Worldliner, and subsequently for the globally successful P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft. We have achieved an uninterrupted 100% on-time delivery record and 100% quality performance for over a decade.
We also hold a range of special process accreditations from Boeing, enabling us to produce, process, finish and test a range of parts and components independently.
Alongside Lockheed Martin and Boeing, Marshall holds supplier quality approvals from Bombardier and BAE Systems, among others.

Marshall’s dedicated Technical Support Group can ensure the continued airworthiness and enhance the capability of aircraft fleets.
The group’s highly experienced engineers are world leaders in providing engineering advice, structural repairs, integrated logistics support, reliability-centred maintenance analysis, obsolescence management, structural and systems integrity, fatigue monitoring, fault analysis and amendments to technical publications.
Protecting fleet availability with engineering and technical support:
Drawing from Marshall’s broad range of accreditations and extensive aviation engineering experience, our Repairs Group specialises in designing and substantiating non-standard C-130 repairs that maintain the airworthiness and structural integrity of the aircraft, with a particular focus on reducing fatigue.
Thanks to their extensive knowledge of Lockheed Martin’s drawings and document set, our dedicated Repairs Liaison Engineers are able to triage and resolve any on-aircraft issues as quickly as possible – whether at our facilities and at forward locations when required.
Supporting the Lockheed Martin C-130 is in our blood: since 1966 we have led the way in understanding everything about this incredible aircraft.
Understandably, our customers regularly ask us to help to them develop their own capability programmes to support their fleets of legacy aircraft - a need we are fully able to accommodate, providing the necessary skills and knowledge to work proficiently on C-130B through H and J aircraft.
Our status as a Part 147 Maintenance Training Organisation demonstrates that we meet the CAA’s rigorous standards for facilities, training programmes, instructor qualifications, and examination processes to provide aircraft maintenance training - and that the training we provide is of the highest quality.
We hold and maintain industry standard regulations and approvals, including:
