Marshall is pleased to announce the appointment of Bob Baxter to the newly created role of Chief Growth Officer to lead global strategy, business development and sales across its Business Lines.
Over the past 40 years, Baxter has led business growth initiatives for several multinational aerospace and defence industry leaders including GEC Marconi, Raytheon, BAE SYSTEMS, Leonardo and most recently Thales.
Baxter will head up a new global team charged with supporting regional operations in identifying and developing opportunities in new and existing markets.
Marshall CEO Kathy Jenkins comments: “Bob’s experience and expertise is going to be vital as we create a new business winning team that will ensure we capitalise on the breadth of capabilities across our aerospace and defence portfolio both in the UK and internationally.”
Baxter joins Marshall during a time of rapid global expansion, with the group having opened a new production facility in Moncton, New Brunswick last year; meanwhile, construction work is underway at Piedmont Triad Airport in North Carolina, where a new MRO operation will open later this year.
Marshall also continues to develop its presence in the Middle East and Northern Europe, leveraging its existing relationships and track record for project delivery.
“I’m very excited to be joining Marshall at such a pivotal time for the business,” said Baxter.
“We are now primed to capitalise on some fantastic opportunities that are sitting right on our doorstep; as a global team, our objective will be to empower our local colleagues to go out and win them.”
