Marshall Aerospace hosts Turkish Deputy Defence Minister for C-130J programme visit

Marshall Aerospace welcomed Salih Ayhan, Deputy Minister of National Defence for the Republic of Türkiye, and a senior delegation from the Turkish Ministry of National Defence on 24 June to review progress on the Turkish Air Force’s C-130J Super Hercules fleet.

During the visit, the delegation viewed several of the 12 aircraft that will enter service with the Turkish Air Force through a multi-year programme delivered by Marshall, and received updates on the ongoing work to support their entry into service and long-term sustainment. The visit also provided an opportunity to showcase Marshall’s wider capabilities across aircraft maintenance, modification, engineering, manufacturing and through-life support.

Awarded in October 2025, Marshall’s contract with the Turkish Ministry of National Defence spans scheduled maintenance, spares, tooling, in-country support and training. It also includes centre wing box replacements, as well as work to support the development of an indigenous Turkish capability on the C-130J platform.

“It was a pleasure to host Deputy Minister Ayhan and representatives from the Turkish Ministry of Defence, and to demonstrate our progress in delivering a modern, versatile tactical airlift capability to the Turkish Air Force.

“We value the trust placed in Marshall through this programme, which reflects the close industrial and defence ties between two long-standing NATO allies.”
