Marshall is proud to have successfully completed its 1,200th auxiliary fuel tank in support of Boeing’s global P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft programme, marking a significant milestone since the start of the contract.
Building on decades of expertise designing and providing solutions to extend the range of a variety of civil and military aircraft types, Marshall’s Aerostructures team assembles tanks for the P-8 in ship-sets of six using the latest in aviation technology. The auxiliary fuel tanks significantly extend aircraft flight range, giving operators additional time to complete the mission before returning to base.

Working in a state-of-the-art facility, the Aerostructures team has implemented a pulse production line running from receipt of parts and box build through to inspection and packaging.
Thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Aerostructures team, a number of continuous improvement initiatives have been put in place to fully optimise efficiency while prioritising on-time completion and high-quality outputs.
The team’s proven track record, with 100% of tanks completed on time, solidifies Marshall’s position as a top supplier for Boeing.
