Marshall has appointed Sean Hoopey to the role of Business Development Manager for Land Systems in Canada
Sean served as an army officer in Canada and spent most of his fulltime military service as a technical staff officer and project director in the Canadian Army’s Directorate of Land Requirements on various sensor, weapon system, and vehicle projects where he gained extensive experience in military equipment requirements and capability development, and defence procurement.
“I am very excited to join the Marshall team and I look forward to leveraging my knowledge and experience of the Canadian procurement process to achieve Marshall Land Systems strategic goals in Canada. Marshall has a broad portfolio of capabilities which are directly relevant to many Canadian opportunities – notably in deployable camps and related infrastructure, training & simulation, and vehicle systems integration and support.”
Sean also brings with him a wealth of information on how to effectively build a winning capture strategy. His early civilian experience in defence industry with Thales Canada as a Business Development Manager responsible for C4ISR, vehicle, and simulation opportunities and more recently as a consultant on several DND/CAF Cyber Projects gives him detailed insight into the requirements development, industry engagement, and proposal evaluation processes.
Immediately prior to joining Marshall, Sean was a Senior Account Director at Hill+Knowlton Strategies Canada where he supported defence procurement capture activities for more than a dozen major international and Canadian defence industries and integrated solution providers. Sean brings over twenty-five years’ experience in defence procurement to Marshall.
