Marshall Land Systems Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Alain Gauthier to the newly created role of Director of Business Development.
Gauthier will bring over 40 years of military service and procurement management experience to Marshall Land Systems Canada at a time of significant growth for the business, with the official opening of its 82,000 sq. ft. production facility in Moncton, New Brunswick set to take place on October 12.
Over the course of 23 years in a range of command and staff positions for the Department of National Defence, Alain served on a number of operational deployments while also working closely with the Department’s Requirements and Public Works Acquisition Directorates.
Alain subsequently spent a similar amount of time in industry leadership roles, having served as Vice President at Thales Canada, Vice President at MACK Defence Canada and as President at Black Ridge Defence Inc., where he provided consultation expertise and strategic planning capability to the Marshall Land Systems Canada team, most notably on Canadian Government Land Vehicle programs and in opening access to the US market.
“We’re thrilled to have Alain joining the team and sharing the benefit of his experience across both industry and government, as well as his intimate understanding of North American procurement processes,” said Marshall Land Systems General Manager Stephen Isaacs.
“As our business enters an exciting period of both domestic and international growth, Alain is perfectly positioned for success here at Marshall Land Systems Canada thanks to his decades of working within federal government and the wider defence industry.”
With the new production facility in Moncton online, the company will be better equipped than ever to meet the requirements of both domestic and international customers with containerised systems, providing a modular and flexible solution for operational infrastructure that enables rapid mobility, sortie generation, and quick recovery.
The facility is on track to begin production of specialist containers for the Dutch Armed Forces, with two international production contracts already in place.
